Light in the Dark
When we arrived in this country, I never imagined how difficult it would be for my son to adapt. Every day I saw him struggle with a language that he did not understand, with customs that were foreign to him and with a loneliness that weighed on his shoulders. His sadness became mine, and little by little, anxiety began to fill my days.
Looking for a way to calm my mind, I found a refuge in Candle-making. At first, it was just an attempt to distract myself, to focus my thoughts on something I could shape with my own hands. But, with every candle I lit, I felt like I also lit a little light inside of me.
What started as an escape became a passion. Every scent, every color, every detail had a purpose: to bring calm, to bring hope, to bring warmth to a heart that had felt cold for too long.
And the most beautiful thing was that, while I healed, so did my son. Little by little, he found his way, and I discovered that sometimes, in the darkest moments, we just need a little light to guide us back.”
